· IDE Ghana is responsive to the unique opportunities and needs of the rural poor and emphasizes listening to, learning from and benefiting the poorest people possible.

Water Control

· IDE Ghana designs and creates private sector supply chains for low-cost small-scale irrigation technologies that enable farmers to access, store and control water in order to increase farm income, improve water use efficiency, and reduce labour.

Entrepreneurial

· IDE Ghana views the rural poor as potential entrepreneurs, producers and customers, not charity recipients.

· IDE Ghana creates market-driven, business-oriented solutions to poverty that enable the rural poor to participate in markets and generate income.

Sustainable Resource Management

· IDE Ghana seeks to preserve the soil, land and water resources upon which the rural poor and the market depend.
